Hi Stephan,
Are there any plans to make the user group blocking admin function recognize other JACL-created user groups? That would be awesome (not that the component isn't awesome already - let's say ultra-awesome)!

Well, since I do not use JACL I have no idea how this component works.

Maybe you could send me the required specs for that.

JACLplus is a Joomla component that, once applied, allows the site admin to add user groups that appear in the Joomla functions to control permissions.

The default Joomla usergroups are:
Author
Editor
Publisher
Manager
Admin
SuperAdmin
Registered user

But JACLplus allows you to add user groups to the Joomla core functions. Many components recognize these additional usergroups and provide the same functionality for them that they do for the basic user groups. It would be great if the user groups created in JACL plus would appear in the uddeIM Admin Blocking tab and allow us to block these additional user groups.

If you could give me an example (format) of a specification that would meet your needs, I think we could put something together that would help a lot of users.

Joomla has fixed IDs for the build in groups:
18=registered users,
19=...
...
24=Admins
25=Super Admins

I need to know how to identify the other groups and their names.

Hi Stephan,
I requested that the developers of JACLPlus, ByOS Technologies, get involved to answer your specific questions. Have they contacted you? If not, what would be the best way for me to help broker this liaison to get you the info you need. Both JACL and uddeIM are very popular components and I am sure adding this support would be a plus to uddeIM.

Currently not. What kind of JACL support do you need in uddeIM?
