I'm running Joomla 1.5.26 with CB 1.9 and new CBSubs GPL
Installed uddeIM version 3.0 over my previous version -- but am seeing 2 issues:

1. Important: You have not updated your database! Please refer to the README how to update uddeIM correctly!

I have attempted to updated with every block of sql I found in the README and there remains no change. I have also created a menu item for uddeIM and no change.

2. Under USER SETTINGS this:
Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$moderated in <span>/</span>home<span>/</span>MYSERVER/public_html/connect/administrator/components/com_uddeim/admin.usersettings.php on line 325

But line 325 is a table cell tag and I can't find the stdClass::$moderated in that file at all (via searching).

It is possible that I missed a uddeIM version update as I noticed further down the README that I might have needed to do an interim update. HOWEVER I cannot recall which version I was running prior to starting this whole mess.

(PS. ALSO -- my copy of the README via Mac TextEdit does not show the sql statements and I had to find that in an online version, here )

In the README you will find following

====================================================================================================
HOW TO UPGRADE FROM UDDEIM 2.2 OR EARLIER TO UDDEIM 3.0
====================================================================================================

Upgrades from uddeIM 2.2 and below are not longer supported and explained in this document.

1. When upgrading from uddeIM 1.7+ please upgrade to uddeIM 2.8 using the instructions found in
uddeIM 2.8 package first before upgrading to uddeIM 3.0.

2. When you are upgrading from uddeIM 1.6 or earlier use the instructions found in uddeIM 1.7
package first before upgrading to 2.8 and from there to a newer one.

That explains both problems.

That was my fear :(
I saw that after the fact.
So now that I am already halfway installed 3.0 is it possible to just run the 2.8 package over existing "mess" and then 3.0?
Or do I have to uninstall the whole thing?

Try to execute the missing SQL statements starting from the version you had previously installed. Don't forget to execute also the ALTER commands from later versions again, in order to get a correct table structure. You can compare the existing table with the structure that can be found in the XML file.

That is precisely what I did try, and several times. The only error in phpmyadmin showed duplicat tables for ALTER TABLE 'systemflag' so pulled that out of each block and they seemed to run fine, line by line.

Looking in my local downloads, I had an extracted folder for v. 2.2 but am unsure if I installed it (likely over a year ago).

Ok, very confusing but I think I've done it!

Went back to the 1.7 README and ran all of those update SQL queries
Then installed 2.8 over whatever I had (3.0) which worked fine
Ran the 1.7 - 2.8 SQL queries
All clear
Now installing 3.0 over that and all looks good!

THANK YOU!
