How to Block Groups was created by scytheuk
I am trying to stop users of uddeim on my site from being able to send pm's to a particular group i have set up.

I assumed this just meant i had to tick the box in the back end configuration to block users sending messages to that user group.

However users are still able to send messages to that particular group.

Am i doing something wrong, or have i misinterpreted the blocking feature?

Pete

Have you checked this feature with a "normal" user account or with your admin account?
Admins and Special User can always send messages to all groups.

Have to check. Maybe a new problem with Joomla 2.5.

When you are talking about a "normal" user account, you mean a "registered" user (group id = "2" (Joomla 2.5), = "18" (Joomla 1.5))? When the user is not in the group of the "registered users" it is not recognized as such and his messages are not blocked.

Yes, I created a new users group named "Clients" under the Registered main group.

I use J2.5 and uddeIM 2.7.

Thank you,
