Problem with updating 2.1 to 2.4

So i did some updating to my web site and there seems to be a problem with the uddeim. i followed the instructions in the readme to upgrade from 2.1 to 2.4 and everything seemed to be ok. however when i click a message it is not displayed, instead it reloads the home folder of the pms. any solutions?

Please check the menu link if it has the correct Itemid (best is to re-create the menu link).

i dont actually use a menu link to the udde pms. i have integrated it on a kunena forum. however it doesnt seem to be a menu problem. i can access my pm list but when i click a pm it just refreshes the page.

Please check the FAQ. It *is* a menu link problem since each component requires an Itemid. You can use a hidden menu is required.

I your case it is a SEF problem. When you check the links (inbox, outbox etc.) you will see that all links are the same " aircooledvw.gr/portal/uddeim ".

Usually this behavior is a result of a wrong Itemid (missing menu link) or not updated menu link after update. When you are using a 3rd party SEF component it may also have cached the old Itemid and translates the new links incorrectly.

It is not an uddeIM bug. When you switch off SEF it will work fine.
