Problem with Greek characters

Hello,

I have read the FAQ about problems with Greek and other UTF-8 characters but it doesn't cover my case...

The private message text displays correctly, but I have a problem with the uddeIM texts themselves (the texts in the Greek.php file). Everything else in my site displays Greek correclty (Kunena, Virtuemart, Joomla). I only have a problem with uddeIM which displays question marks. Any ideas ?

I solved this problem: The Greek language file that was in the language.utf8 directory was not encoded in UTF-8 but in ANSI. After I re-enconded it in UTF-8, everything works as it should.

Please take care of this because it can be very confusing. One does not expect that a file in a directory called "language.utf8" will actually NOT be UTF-8

Thats a bug. Could you send me the utf8 encoded file please, so I can add it to the trunk (ssl(at)gmx(dot)de).

I have same problem with french language. 3 years later, it is still not fixed and it is worst, because even after encoding in UTF8, the characters with accent are coming wrong!
