uddeIM 2.3rc (release candidate) released

One month after uddeIM 2.2 there is an intermediate release available: uddeIM 2.3rc.

Some language files have not been updated up to now. These will be released in uddeIM 2.3stable in a few weeks.

You can download the installation packages from my dev page. Please give feedback if all packages are ok or if you had some problems installing uddeIM 2.3rc.

Please check the README since it contains important information about how to upgrade to uddeIM 2.3.

Please read the README file carefully since this version requires a database update!

multiple recipients were enabled).
14.) Premium plugin: Message Control Center. This plugin allows admins to moderate
selected accounts.
15.) J1.6: uddeIM Notifier fixed.
16.) J1.6: It is possible to select the destination box (inbox, outbox, etc) in the
Joomla 1.6 menu options when creating a new menu link.
17.) Frontend menu can be switched off (in case you wish to create own links to uddeIM).
18.) "Timedelay" between posts is evaluated for registered users only.
19.) Separate Joomla 1.0/1.5 and Joomla 1.6 installer archives.
20.) Autocompleter has hidden blocked groups for non-admins and not for
registered users.
21.) Autocompleter has shown 'hidden' users for non-admins.

I tried 2.3rc, with joomla1.6 but I have a small problem, the popup notification window (popup) does not appear, and changed the settings from administrator to allow, but kunena1.6.3 in options not set and I have to manually change in the profile, but yet still not appear popup notifications.

installed this com_uddeimj16 and mod_uddeimj16

in others, everything seems to work well at the moment.

Could you check the Javascript console if there is an error? The notifier should still work in J1.6.

I'm testing 2.3RC on Joomla 1.6. Here is a list of issues I encountered:

This one (and variants) pops up several places.. I'm running danish lang, and in line 187 in the utf-8 danish.php it reads:

DEFINE ('_UDDEADM_e-mailSTOPPED', '\'e-mail stop\' aktiveret.');

Should be:

DEFINE ('_UDDEADM_EMAILSTOPPED', '\'e-mail stop\' aktiveret.');

Looking further into it shows that an earlier translator made a big mistake by doing a blind case insensitive search/replace ('email' to 'e-mail'). Not very smart as it changed the constants also.

I attached the updated danish lang files (with errors fixed and missing translations completed).

Thanks for the report. I have fixed the language file and the undefined variable issues but I cannot reproduce the image problem. On my J1.6 test site the image is located in /administrator/images/ and displayed. Do you use an alternative admin template?

No, I use the Bluestork - Default admin template. I looked for the administrator/images folder .. it is not there at all (I'm running the official J1.6 installation - no tinkering etc). I searched for a file named inbox.png in my web repository - it only exist in my old J1.5 installation (i.e. it is not a part of the J1.6 distribution).

What did you do to fix that $postvar issue?
