Thanks, solved that issue but now I am getting a new one.
Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser.

That would be the CSRF token failing. We don't control that anymore in CB and is entirely handled by Joomla. It often only fails due to Joomla page caching being enable. Do you have page cache enabled in System > Extensions > Plugins?

Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser.

I have tried in Safari and Chrome and cookies are enabled on both browsers.

Confused with CB login module was created by scubabyss
Hi everyone
I have issues with CB login module.
I have de-activated cache on my Joomla 5 site and I still have CB Login Module "The session has expired or cookies are not enabled by your browser. Please click "Refresh" and make sure you have enabled cookies in your browser." I have checkedSafari that cookies are not blocked.

Behavior is very strange, I have to login twice to get login to work.
Ounce the second login is done, there is no error message.
I logout and try to login, the same problem occurs I have the message "The session has expired...", make a second login and it works.

Of course I switch back to Joomla Login module and I notice that the frontend page still show CB login module even if I refresh the page. I have "page" in the cache at backend. I clear the cache and then refresh frontend : Joomla login module is there.

This is not critical as I don't have issues with Joomla Login module, I just miss the avatar picture and the choice to use email in lieu of username.

What should be done to get rid of the "minor" issue?

Thanks a lot
Lionel

Error:
[Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser.]

This error has come up a number of times over the years, most recently about four months again, which was attributed to a caching issue.

Normally the form returns a green "The username 'username' is available." or red "The username 'username' is already in use." message.

For the last two days, the error has consistently occurred on every platform for anyone trying to fill out the registration form regardless of cookie settings or page reloads. It also does not matter if the entered username is available or not. Furthermore, clearing cache did not fix the issue.

Recent changes include a server upgrade about a month ago with a move to PHP 8.2.

Error message... was created by michaelanim
Good morning,

Our users regularly get the following error message when they try to connect via the CB login module. We don’t know where it comes from. Error message: Error - The session has expired or cookies are not enabled by your browser. Please click on "Refresh" and make sure you have enabled cookies in your browser.

How to solve this problem?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Due to the specificity of the website, I make a lot of changes in the translations provided for the pl-PL language.
I overwrite language strings using a dedicated CB interface.
After adding a certain amount of changes, I ran into a problem. The interface does not add another change and the browser reports the following message:

"The session has expired and/or cookies are not enabled in your browser."

This happens in both Chrome and FireFox.

Directly editing the "override.php" file does the trick, but it's not an elegant or convenient solution. ;-)
Is this a bug in the interface?

Regards,

Your form tokens are expiring. We exclusively use Joomla for this now. Are you using any kind of page caching on your site? It's often due to an old token being cached. Issue going away after a few minutes is usually the result of a cache clear fixing it.

Error:
[Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser.]

The error happens sometimes on the Registration Page upon entering the user name.

Normally the form returns a green "The username 'username' is available." or red "The username 'username' is already in use." message.

When the error occurs, it occurs on every platform for anyone trying to fill out the registration form regardless of cookie settings or page reloads. It also does not matter if the entered username is available or not.

After 10 or 15 minutes, the error goes away and the form works as expected.
