Force password reset was created by jabba84
Hi, sorry to bother you. I've read here: www.joomlapolis.com/forum/255-developer-members-support/239227-force-password-reset
that there is a way to force password reset (i create user in backend and need to force them to change password on first login). I've tryed to set "force password reset" from joomla core in joomla's users but is ignored:

but i can normally login and the system does not ask me to reset the password.

And I can't find "reset password -> yes" inside CB's users list or single user's profile.

Thanks

It should be a field within their profile edit in backend. Edit them in CB > User Management and toggle the Reset Password checkbox. Their next login should require them to change their password by sending them to CB profile edit. This is entirely controlled by Joomla with CB just changing the redirect location to CBs profile edit. If it's not working there's likely a configuration issue somewhere in Joomla preventing it from working.

Ok thanks! I'll take a look to joomla plugins to see if there is something blocking.
Thanks again

Solved! I was missing a configuration in a plugin i wrote.

Side question: i have to import some users via CSV, exporting the users table from backend i've seen that there is no colum "password". How can i set a default password for those imported users? If nothing is set what password users have to input to login?
Thank you

Importing users without a password should cause CB to generate a password for them. That password should be included in the email and behaves similar to registering on frontend with auto generated passwords enabled.
