Avatars uploaded by users are gone, cb 1.2.2

it just happened and now I do not know what to do.
Loading new avatar does not affect the situation - they do not appear anywhere on my site.
can I fix it?

Sorry, you cannot report a potential bug on a CB version which is 3+ releases back.

Please upgrade to CB 1.4 and report back.

I made a copy of the site and database and installed on a local server, then installed the latest release of CB 1.4 - the problem has not disappeared.

Perhaps you are not sharing enough information.

Was this always the case or did it happen all of a sudden (in your opinion)?

What do you see if you place your mouse over the broken image?

Well, there is not time bomb in CB - so something did happen.

Please check if that file really exists in your images/comprofiler folder and what its permissions are.
