New CB plug: "Allow Public View" was created by KurtSteiner
Mike have released the commercial "Allow Public View" Plug for CB.

Allow Public View plugin basically takes over the Community Builder functionality that controls whether non-registered (public) users are allowed to view profiles. Instead, users are able to decide whether or not they wish to allow public access.

Features
Allow Public View plugin has a quite a few configurations. First, lets take a look at the screenshot of the plugin's admin backend:

You will find all Details HERE on Mike hompage www.mike.simbunch.com

However,
I have asked Mike to develop this plug because on my Business Club Website as default all Profiles are viewable only by registered users. But some wanted to have it public for beeing searcheable by Google and others.

I like this Plug much in addition with the free Profile URL Plug from Mike which you can download HERE for free.
(of course you also use the even great user URL solutions provided by DJ Trail, ysva and/or others)

When You take both of it and you provide an additional "Homepage" Tab with an Big Textfield to your users, than they will have fantastic individuell and own made Profile-Homepage on your CB based Domain.

Check it out and see my "HomepProfilPage":

As I said in the other post (read it in the other topic), this looks very interesting and it would be good use for anyones site I guess.

Something that is essential in my case is that I can create a list that will include only those members that have chosen their profile to be publicly viewable. From what I can figure out from the moveGreen.de site this is not happening with this plugin, since the member list contains data (name, portrait, etc.) from users whose profile is not publicly viewable. Is there a way for a user's data to really not be available in any form?

hi,
you can just create this list because the plug refers to a custom CB field which can be included in the list.

on www.moveGreen.de i havent done this, because guest than can the there is a member but they have to register to login and i use the same list for registered users to browse the profiles.

But a good idea is to make this field a search field for the cb advanced search

Thank you for this idea ;)
