I was wondering if there would be people with plugin experience who could help me with an effort to integrate Anjel into CBRC2

developer.joomla.org/sf/projects/anjel

The developer of Anjel (formerly Mamml) is interested, but we should do some work to get the ball rolling.

I am new to the whole plugin architecture, so I need to learn. Please help because I think Anjel is the most mature of all the newsletter components.

The Newsletter plugin API used for YaNC has two clean APIs for integration of other newsletter systems.

First one is the API of the plugin itself (the one between CB and the plugin).

Second one is the 3PD Newsletter API (in YaNC) as defined jointly by CB and YaNC team.

Both of them are documented in the source (the CB API having also a 30-pages documentation in additon).

Prefered way is to have other newsletter component implement the newsletter API, as the CB plugin would be the same.

But writing another plugin is also possible...

The CB core team welcomes other component developers to integrate with CB.

The author of Anjel has taken contact with the CB core team for developing such a plugin, and is being added to the CB 3PDs team.

Up :-)

Are there some news ?

What are the other products, concurrent to Angel ?
i don't know well about that kind of product.

Silexian

Update : It seems that Angel (ex- Mamml) is a better product than YANC, it's also a fork from him, but... but ... but ... YANC has plug in in CB ... So the choice goes to YANC. Integration is the keyword with CB.

ps : Nant & Beat, happy new year with your killer Joomla CMT !

Anjel Integration to community builder seems to be a greate step to create a good mailing list for Joomla as it is critical to many businesses.

Can anybody say on which stage that project is?

and if help needed, could it be declared here?
