Ah, I see; was able to confirm your issue. Seams to be a bug as it's for some reason suddenly using the user id of the side administrator for the ajax call after a failed registration. Suggest either disabling it for now or ignoring it (very unlikely for someone to hit this issue often). I've created the below bug ticket for further investigation.
