Hi,

Yesterday I installed CB Connect and made a connection to LinkedIn. This works well OK but there is one thing that's not going right. When the link has been established, the "linkedin_userid" field is filled with a value like "iS6KUAyxH7". My linkedin_userid is, however, "haasdijk". Is there a way to get the right value in the field when establishing the link?

Looks like you don't get the LinkedIn ID anymore, but you get an application specific user id like Facebook now does. Have added a bug ticket to look into this further as a new profile URL format likely needs to be added to account for this.

forge.joomlapolis.com/issues/6685

For now I suggest just setting the field to not display on profile.

Have reviewed the API changes on LinkedIns end. Their profile IDs are now app scoped like Facebook. They do not provide a means to convert the app scoped to global like Facebook. The public profile URL is locked behind an API request that requires authentication from anyone making the request. This means there is no solution except to remove the LinkedIn profile URL output. It's unfortunate, but it's out of my control. You can workaround this issue by using the field mapping and map the public profile url field to a web address field or something of the sort.

Looks like your best option is to use the field mapping and have it map the public profile url to a field then override how the LinkedIn field displays using the layout parameters.
