[#7277] per field validation error text

Hi,
can I define custom text per field, that is displayed, when a required field is not filled in on my registration form?
My customer has a registration form, and instead of "this field is required" at every empty required field, they want individual text for every empty required field.
Is this possible and if, how can I accomplish this?

The required validation error is not unique per field. So it's not possible to change it on a per field basis. Added a feature ticket to extend the language strings for those validation errors to have a unique per-field language key in addition to their generic key to allow per field validation errors using language overrides feature.

If this is only for Text fieldtypes you can also specify custom regexp validation under Parameters > Validation using the "Authorized input" parameter, which will then let you use the "Error in case of invalid input" parameter to specify the validation error to display if your REGEXP check fails.

since I have quite some non-text fields, I'll tell my customer, that this is not easily possible at the moment. It's not that important, I guess...
