I am not finding anything in the documentation on what is "banned". New users are automatically set to Ban User / Active and a red X appears in the back end. What exactly is the new Banned status? If we mark someone as pending or banned what does that mean?

Banning is used to ban a users profile. They can still login and access the site, but their profile is banned. If they're banned it'll be a green checkmark. If they're not banned it'll be a red x. The colors should be swapped though and have made a feature ticket to improve this.
