CSubs -- Fixed Expiration Date

CSubs -- Fixed Expiration Date was created by DHWhite0324
Is it possible to set a fixed expiration date for all memberships?

Our association's business rules/logic currently end all memberships on 30 June of the year corresponding to the length (1, 3, 5, or 10 years) of dues paid.

Thanks.

You should use calendar duration plans and configure your calendar start date as you need.
There is a section describing this in the CBSubs manual.

Nant,

Thanks for the advice. Of course, there is a very good reason our veterans association established and has maintained a fixed expiration date for memberships. Primarily because we generate mailing labels to over 2,000 members to send our quarterly, full-color journal to all members. Staggered expirations complicate that and potentially raise the cost of these mailings for the association and, by extension, the members.

Perhaps someone will tell us that we shouldn't print and mail our quarterly journal.

Obviously, not all of our members have online accounts through our Website. We expect that to change, especially since we're implementing online transactions to manage dues.

In the end, I suspect we will have to allow the software to "tell" us how to do business, but that's only because the Board accepted my recommendation to use Community Builder to handle our expanding online community.

I suppose there is no work-around for this?

Cheers.

I guess there is no work-around available or possible if we use CBSubs. I'll look into Membership Pro and see if it's adaptable.

Using a By Calendar duration lets you have a fixed expiration date. I don't understand the issue here. If you set it to By Calendar Year you can set the month and date that the year starts, which means it'll end just before that. This effectively lets to set the expiration date.
