[SOLVED] CBSUBS 3.0 - fail backend was created by Dorkyme
Hi!

Using:
PHP 5.3.10
Joomla 2.5.8
CB 1.9
All CB-plugins up to date
Kunena, uddeIM, sh404sef, virtuemart eg. up to date

Upgraded to the new CBSubs GPL version, and get the following error when entering the plugin backend:
Fatal error: Call to a member function replaceUserVars() on a non-object in <span>/</span>home<span>/</span>.../public_html/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/plugin.foundation.php on line 3702

Suggestions?

Regards,
Thomas

Please enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration (both are important). Once done navigate to CBSubs backend again and provide the callstack to the error (easiest if screenshot is provided) so can see where the error is coming from exactly. You can also try disabling non-core CB plugins 1 by 1 until resolved as it could be a conflict of some kind.

After enabling debug mode and maximum error reporting it now works fine.
I do not know why, but it does.

Seems to be a session error or something?

I have this exact same problem since upgrade to CBSUBS 3.0
Reinstalling CBSUBS 3.0 did not help neither

The error is : PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function replaceUserVars() on a non-object in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/activha/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/plugin.foundation.php on line 3702

Deactivating all plugins except core does not help and this is with debug and max reporting activated.

We lived with it since a few months but this is an error to be solved on next version maybe

Looks like a bug in CB it self. The function replaceUserVars prepares a cbUser object to run text through substitutions. However, this can return NULL resulting in ->replaceUserVars not working. Will fix for next release to handle NULL case.
