can not resend password in confirmation emails

I can not resend the password (but the username) when resend the confirmation emails. The first confirmation email, when the user writes the suscribing form works perfect, but some user that for example did not receive that email or they lost the password needs to receive a resended confirmation email, but the password appears like in the image like [PASSWORD]


I upgraded recently to 1.8 but the error persist.
I am sending an image, may be someone can help me and any clue will be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I am using Joomla 1.5

Passwords cannot be resent as once saved in the database they are hashed/encoded.

Search the forums as there have been many previous discussions about this.
