I'm not sure if I am posting at the correct place. I found a typo in the extension itself.
in the configuration tab,
configuration>userprofile description for "Fields validation in Admin" - Set to "Yes" to make the User Management section in the administrator use field validation settngs (required, size, etc.) and set to "No" to ignore the field validation in the admin user management.
