krileonA new CB GroupJive release has arrived with some great long awaited features to bring Events outside of groups and easier management. Check out the details below!
CB GroupJive Search Bot has been completely rewritten from the ground up to be a Joomla Smart Search plugin. Now you can quickly and efficiently index and search for your groups like never before!
Category and Group Logo defaults have also been expanded to have the same features as avatars. You can now specify a specific color or a unique color generated based off category or group name for the default logo. Canvas have also been improved with this same functionality. In addition to this you can turn off canvases and logos for both categories or groups now.
Events have now been expanded outside of groups. You can now display groups in the included CB GroupJive Module providing global access to group events that the viewing user has access to.
Users can directly attend events as well if they're already a member of the group the event belongs to. If they're not then there's a link included to go to the events group and request joining. This view is also template driven so it can be modified and extended as needed. Simply select whichever event mode you'd like from your CB GroupJive Module.
Events can also be filtered to exclude events that have ended. This pairs nicely with the "Upcoming Events" mode to encourage users to view and attend events.
We're still not done though! You can now create a Joomla menu item directly to CB GroupJive Events and view all events on a dedicated page. Simply create a menu item of menu type Community Builder > Plugin and for Plugin select CB GroupJive Events.
This page is searchable and pageable same as it is in groups. Users can directly attend or even unattend events from this page.
We're not done yet though! Group user join approval has always been a bit of work since it must be managed per group. Not anymore! Now you can create a Joomla menu item to group user approval page and manage join requests across all groups you have permissions for. This finally gives a centralized location to approve group joins.
Both group user joins and group create approvals are now supported in the CB Workflows module providing approval count with links to their respective approval pages letting you know something needs approval.
