freeze field from edit by user was created by saman2
hi.
i create my user via CB Api and i want freeze the only username field from edited.
1-is it possible with CB privacy? i read the doc of cbprivacy but it is little complex.can you describe to me only how to freeze username field from any change? is it enough to set Show on Profile Edit to NO or need more work?
2-is it possible to show in profile edit page but disable for edit? i set Show on Profile Edit to yse and use profile layout edit parameter and subsition to show username only but when i update profile , CB return error for fill the username field must be doing....and is it secure?maybe some of hackers change manually in inspect element developer and send that , is it possible?

If you want the field still shown in profile edit then for the username field set "Username Edit" to "No" in CB > Configuration > User Profile. For other fields just set them as Read Only. If you want them still editable by moderators, specific usergroups, or view access levels you have to use CB Privacy and adjust the edit display parameter within Integrations > CB Privacy while editing the field. If you don't want it visible at all in profile edit then yes just set it to not show on profile edit.
