Access Denied when updating a super users profile.

I have just tried updating my profile from the front end and I keep getting an access denied error. All appears to be fine with other access groups.
Have you any ideas as to where i should start looking?

Joomla 3.8.5
CB 2.1.3

Is it a white page stating access denied? If so that's likely mod_security and you'll need to contact your host.

I am not sure what it is. It only seems to affect the superusers group. I use a current version of ACL all appears well there.
I would guess that this is new since 3.8.3 or 4.
I have no idea where to start looking.

Do you have 2 factor authentication enabled? If so try disabling it and see if issue persists. Please also ensure you've updated to Joomla 3.8.5 as 3.8.4 has known fixed issues.

Strange, is there any tabs/fields accessible to super users that aren't available on users profiles? A "Access Denied" error is typically a Joomla error.
