Hi team,

A simple question about conditions in the Auto action plugin,

We can "add rows" in the Conditions Tab, but in wich way does it works with severals conditions, AND or OR ?

I was not able to find the answer.

Thanks - Eric

If any of the conditions fail to match the auto action will not execute. Improvements to the conditions are planned in a later release where you can specifically specify AND/OR cases.

Awating a future improvment, here is a way to have AND conditions, with two or more conditions
  1. Create an auto action with a condition but NO trigger, save and close
  2. Create another auto action with type "action", set a condition and the trigger you want
  3. Choose in the action tab the first auto action you've created (it's possible to selected more than one auto action), save and close
That work for me

The conditions basically are always AND. If one of them fails the auto action won't execute. What you're currently doing is additional steps for no reason. Simply have your conditions on the auto action you're wanting with the appropriate trigger. There's no need to have an action fire another action in your case. The improvements that'll be made in the future will be to allow condition groups as follows.

Group 1 ( Condition 1 AND Condition 2 )
OR Group 2 ( Condition 1 OR Condition 2 )

It becomes more like a structured IF statement allowing a lot more control. Currently all that's available is as follows.

Condition 1 AND Condition 2 AND Condition 3 AND Condition 4

The only way to do OR is within the single condition it self like the below.

Condition 1: [cb_myfield] Is REGEXP /VALUE_1|VALUE_2/

You're right,
There was no reasons to proceed as I wrote, I was a bit confused, it's working now with two conditions that each of them must be TRUE (AND)

Thanks ! Eric
